Why does Accelerated Jab of Mercenaries only increase the physical defense by 10? Should it be 10% or really just 10?

I just checked what you're saying. When you actually get the buff from using the skill, it says that you get +10 defense. Which indeed is hilarious. The biggest problem, it doesn't even give you +10 physical defense. XD

Well this is just my opinion, but considering the nature of how stats in this game works, and the scaling of gear and levels available on this server, certain classes need severe tweaks to maintain a semblance of balance.

When cloth classes are able to achieve 90~100% damage absorbtion, even if its for only a few seconds there are severe problems.

Wow I went off topic hard here, uh, let's see...

Yes, skills of certain classes need to be re-evaluated. There we go.

    And said skills would be?

Let us know a few so sedy can change em if you prove a point :)

I understand what you mean. That's why Sedy is tweaking certain skills, so they get more viable on this server. If you look at the latest updates, you will notice that he's been changing a few. Doing them all at once is gonna be too much, since there's hundreds of different skills. Increasing debuffs etc.

Are you saying that cloth users are over powered? Nah, not anymore. Most powerful class in the game are Berserkers at the moment. Anyone can reach 100% absorption. But then again, your stats will be shit.

Exactly! every1 can get 100% absorb now (or at least the lucky one's who know how to :P )

But point being zerkers are still OP haha!

Yep I'm taking on board all class change suggestions and doing them gradually so I can monitor how they affect things in game. My main concerns at the moment have been viability of tanks and the next update should hopefully do something to help with that.

I never like to bring nerfs to the game but something needs to be done with Zerks, I just don't know how at the moment. I already reduced their armor penetration abilities, removing them is not an option. One possibility is reducing the scaling of their hit rating so they would need to spend more of their bonus stats on hit instead of damage etc. But yeh, still thinking on it really.

To be realistic, making them maintain a balance between damage and hit rating is actually a great idea. If you think about it, warriors in medieval times sometimes picked more lightweight swords so they could easily parry and actually hit targets. Knights that wanted the biggest swords in the land(perhaps overcompensating) severely lacked the ability to hit, as most of their focus went into actually being able to swing the swords. So yes, addressing the hit rating is a perfect idea.

    /2cents

P.S. It doesn't matter what you do to Zerks, I can still make them O.P >:{D~

What makes zerks so powerful is the 30 seconds (with refresh) non-stop defense-ignoring attacks coupled with high attack speed. And they can stun, charge and hit you from afar.

2 handed weapons are supposed to be slow. But here in NoScrubs Iris, with the tarot, buffs, food, trans, equipments, etc. they are still fast.

In other MMO's, when a two-handed weapon user buffed-up increasing his attack speed or damage, his defense will decrease. Maybe it's possible here too? But of course, zerks will not like that idea.

Not be best idea...i just thought of it, so critize me all u want.

How about changing it from time based (30 seconds) to per hit...like maybe 5 hits of ignore 70%...??

And maybe when they use that ignore skill, their defense drops like -20+% (reminds mme or berseck, you attack super powerful but your def is minimized coz ur in a frency....o.o

Not to be rude here with you Joel21, but I think -20% defense is almost nothing to a zerker with high absorb. However, if his absorb is low then -20% defense will hurt.

For me, this is better if it's possible to code it.

And.... why is my post about Zerkers now when it's originally for Mercs

I just said like 20+% (meaning 20% and above, i wanted to say 100% initially, then it'll be unfair to zerkers...so i went low) Lets see what sedy says. And i think it can be done...but more work for sedy.....because it's like the same princips for the Priest shield (6 hirs or that fixed amount) so if he can replicate the (6/5 hits) to the zerker skill...it'll solve quite abit of hassle about their ignore def. Because if it's 5 hits + reset = 10 hit's max which is about 10+k (minimum for the good zerkers) so making it 100K dmg...(just an average).

    I'm just giving my opinion.

My bad Joel21 about the -20% defense thingy

If your idea is implemented, then Zerkers will have a fun time fighting Shadow Walkers with their Protection Aura 2(can block 4 attacks). That's cool.

Ya i was thinking of a previous game whereby when you get ALOT of attack u go into berseck mode and attack and lose alot of defense because of that berseck mode and can't use anything except attack + skills. (no pots/items/mounts, etc.)
