Hello! First of all, sorry for the wall of text. I would appreciate any help... thank you so much.

This is my first time ever to be playing a melee class, and I'm also still pretty noob at this game. Despite having played for about 3 months, all I ever did was level up... I really like soloing and rarely join any dungeon parties, unless I know what I'm doing and what I'm supposed to do. Also, I do not PvP at all. xD I'm probably the biggest carebear you'll ever meet. Words cannot explain how much I loathe it. xD I really don't like attacking players in PvP maps or attacking back.. rather I just attempt to defend myself if I can.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone out there could spare some time to help a fellow Templar. :c I've recently became very interested and I wanted to learn more about them... so far, I've learned that transformation cards are used to boost stats and stuff. I've been using the Diseased Treekan trans whenever I tank, and then I use the Rock Piece Golem for AoE... then when I'm grinding, I use Mandragora for its HP absorb.

The gears that I currently have are 3 parts Destruction, and 2 parts Dreadnaught... but I plan to replace the Dreadnaught with either Descendant's or Von Berg. I'm not yet sure which one I should get.

As for Item Equip Cards, I have been using all Stamina VI's on my accessories (and a few All Stats IV), and a combination of Power VI + Stamina VI on my Destruction Helm, Chest, and Legs. I plan to use Magic Defense VI + Stamina VI on Shoes and Gloves whenever I get them (either Von Berg or Descendant's).

My costume (which is from the Tear Vendor) has All Stats IV on everything excluding 3 extra slots which has All Def IV.

Now, I have a few questions..

1. Do you recommend any other transformation cards (aside from what I've mentioned)? And why?
2. Which would be an ideal pair for Destruction: Von Berg or Descendant's?
PS: I've examined people's gears and I saw some of them uses a combination of Von Berg and Descendant's. Is this a good idea?
3. Is the Imbued Tough Knight Armor set worth getting at 85 (If I don't have the full 75 CQ yet)?
4. Would it be a good idea to combine Imbued Tough Knight Armor with another set? If so, which one?
5. Is Power VI + Stamina VI on all armor pieces a good alternative to All Stats IV? or should I only use Power VI on some pieces?
6. Should I even bother with Magic Defense card? My M. Def is 20k less than my P. Def.
7. Should I go full All Stats IV on my costume?

As for Fighter/Knight/Templar skills...
1. First of all, would anyone mind posting your skill trees?
2. Which skills do you use on a boss (without transformation)?
PS: I've leveled all the attack skills that are needed for the Templar tree. So far, I only have 6 skills I can spam when I'm not transformed.
3. In the Fighter skill tree, do you recommend any skills on from the other class trees (like the 2h or Dual Sword trees)?
4. Which skills would I not need for PvE?
5. Which skills do you recommend anyways?

----

I tried ToA with a friend, and the last boss hits so hard... is there a trick to this? Does it use Magic attack? Same problem with Sharlach. Any tips?

----

If you've come this far, thank you so much for your time/reading.
Any help is appreciated, and again, I apologize for the loooooong post. >_

The help i can offer as a Level 80 Templar myself

1: Armor. Depending on if you want attack or defense as your focus depends on the armor to go with. The IDEAL armor of most templars is attack focus For this go with the following setup

Helm, Guantlets, Boots: Dreadnaught set.

Chest and Leggings Descandant dragon CQ set.

If defense is your focus:

Helm and Leggings: Von Berg

Chest, gauntlets and boots: Descandant dragon

(I went the 2nd route so i'm a bit weaker honestly, more defense less attack)

2 I'm sure you know this but hey i'm saying it anyway the IDEAL set up with armor would be buy special enchants or make them as aclemist.

Head: Red for extra power at +10 it's like 15 % extra power.

Boots: Yellow. Attack speed increase

Chest: Colorless: Damage absorbtion. In this game defense HONESTLY means little. Damage Abs means everything basicly.

Leggings: I'm sure the others can tell you but HONESTLY i forget... but i think it's red as well. HP % increase.

Gloves: I forget this one as well but i want to say it's Navy or Orange... i can't remember. But it gives crit value increase. Again if ANY of these are wrong i'm sure others will gladly correct you.

3: for leveling probably a good card to keep with you, trans wise, will be the Mandragora card from the UH map. All stat increase AND HP drain. I use this to solo my way through AS. It really keeps me alive.

4. All stats is the way MOST people go. just All stat everything. I've done some power, some stam and some all stat. Mag defense is not needed if you can raise your damage abs.

5. I honestly don't PVP i rarely do battle fields unless it's BoA very little PVP. I don't have a SS of my skill tree BUT for me

Buffs are maxed. Passives are maxed. my attack skills are the normal attack skills of both paths. but avoided all the branching skills that aren't y'know needed to level up more skills of the next path. I'll probalby take a SS later and post it for you ^^;

6. Another card you should probably go stack up on. Solo run CN. And eventually CH. And make sure you stack up on Roszak cards. the 2nd skill HP plundering has saved my life COUNTLESS times.

7. Boss: If it's a high up boss i don't fight it without trans: The best cards for boss raids i've found is if the boss is a magical style boss. Go and farm the lvl 30 boss Glaceon for two reasons (1. Damage abs bracelet is a MUST even at this level. and 2. the trans cards of her.) Glaceon tran has a spamable buff that gives you 30% magic Damage abs. and if you can do the math. Knight passives give dmg ABS, skills give damage abs. There is a skill in the guild for damage abs, chest gives MASSIVE dmg abs if you use the colorless cards. add in greater potion of protection for damage abs and you have 90% magic damage abs if you spam the glaceon 3rd skill.

If the boss is physical then the way to go would be Deasead treekan from corrupt valley. one of the effects is 21% physical damage abs. see the above list of damage abs plus and yeah.

8. Weapons: first chance you get, try to buy the nereus weapons. Xanathos shortsword and nermtes shield. But if you can't afford them or can't join a raid to kill the waterlord. then the next best thing is get your hands on lisk weapons.

9: Tears. If you haven't. try to save up for a relic. they help. Also save up for wearing cards. you can get III ones from VH. but the IV ones from tears are good. Peridot is the way to go.

Now all this stuff i've listed maybe other people will tell you i'm wrong. That's fine i might be. but opinions are just that, opinions. you don't have to take any of my advice i'm just listing it out here and shareing what i've been told and what i've learned ^^

Yes all passives. even from fighter tree is maxed out. MP is VERY VERY much used int he later levels more than ANYTHING else. The new skills take up a lot of MP. Physical hit... honestly it's good. It's more so useful in PVP. or PVB (Player vs boss) some bosses have evasion skills.

Stamina is KEY for knights. Defense and HP both. So yeah stam is needed. The ones i DON"T mess with is anything that lasts for seconds. the final buff on fighter skill. Defense plus for several seconds. that's nothing really. Most classes have defense peirceing skills. and no monsters honestly pose a threat for that to be used. It's kinda useless in my mind. (again MY mind)

HP Regen is iffy at best. BUT i can tell you it DOES help. If you get knocked around and run and sit your HP will refill fast. For example. My HP right now is 45,308 when buffed

My HP recovery stat is 728.89. If i go to solo quests in SD. and the scouts knock me around and i kill some. let my HP get low. and run away. sit down when safe. My HP is back to full within like 2 minutes. without useing pots. Now If you deem them not worth it. that's your call. Heck EVERYTHING is your call. i can't tell you what to do or use. i'm only giving you my opinions heh heh.

Power is important cause it's your strength stat. wanna hit hard and kill things before they kill you? Power.

In the end honestly you need to go with what you feel is your style ^^ i may have stuff other templars don't recommend. You know why? It's what i felt is my style and my way of fighting. Not theirs. ^^

First of all.. not a templar but in answer to some general questions:

Useful trans cards for you in addition to your current ones:
Beakblade - it has an awesome spammable defense debuff. BUT no extra abs.
Purpuresia - it is immune against damage over time (eg burns in CI)
Tin soldier (from cv) some people use this for aggro. You probably don't need it as a templar though
Big-eyed owl (from termi) or shushu: to get a speed buff for 30sec

Trans in pk - not sure if you do pk or battlefield, but~
nirenia is super essential there: invincibility skill/stun
niria: for water tent skill (when ppl hit you, it will impact your mana instead of hp first)
Actually pk has a lot of trans you can use. those would be the basic ones xD

Combination of Von Berg /Descendent: people use this to get the set bonus (with every 2 parts) of all stat +200 twice

i said i would so here you go. My skill tree. I'm still lvl 80 so this may change when i hit 85 a bit. I haven't prepared much for the final levels.

And the post from spunny. You should remember though. Beakblade HONESTLY will only be helpful with lowering magic defense. so in parties and stuff with mages. As a templar you already have an armor destruction skill that is at max lowers physical defense by 10 k. So remember that. ^^

Wow thank you so much. That helped A LOT!

Though, I have another question... You said you got all your passives.. does that include the MP/+27Power/+27Stamina ones on the Fighter tree? I was wondering whether it was worth the 3 SP or not. 3 SP for 27 Stam/Power?

Are the Physical Hit/Hp Regen skills worth it too?

    Thanks again. >_
