IIRC most gaming mices have their own dedicated software for that purpose :( , and there's also 3rd party programs that do the same thing for non-gaming mices (like ANTSOFT)

You can just map the keys on the softwares included. I have hotkeys mapped on my logitech G402 mouse for pets and mounting controls =D

thanks ray.. i tried x-mousebutton control for a generic mouse that didnt come with software but it didnt respond like a normal mouse button or keyboard key would ..it had a noticeable delay and sometimes it flat out didnt respond at all. This is why i posted about adding a function in game thinking that cutting out another software layer would cut the delay.

i wanted to try the cheapo generic mouse to see if it worked before purchasing an expensive one. i suppose i will just have to buy a decent one ..the wal-mart one i bought was junk anyway.
