New player - how do you kill astray/any tips?

Hey there

I am a new player to iris in general, and this is the first server I've played
While I am no stranger to MMOs, I found it very difficult to kill the monster "Astray" for my class changer quest.
I have tried to ask other players to help me, unfortunately my requests are always ignored.

My character is a warlock, as google tells me that is a good solo class.

I was just wondering if there was a better way to approach this situation.

As well if you have any tips for a new player, it would also be appreciated

Haha ya I've tried that since my 7th go at him, I can bring him down about 75% max before he kills me with all my pots on CD.

I've tried asking around for buffs, but as usual I get no response, which gets quite disappointing.

I guess I''ll make a priest or something and see if I can buff myself and do it that way

The way you fix that is kill his minons first that are in your way and then handle him in a corner away from them. if you build towards warlock or magicians you should have a stun or a couple instant cast skills to use on him

thanks darcel, I'll give that a try.

Ya the main issue is that he hits like a truck, and is surrounded by his minions, so it's very easy to get ganked over there.

I recommend asking a Sage or Priest to buff you up preferably a high class one so you get the best buffs. Go grab some buff pots from general merchant in town and some potions. And try and keep as much distance between you and him. He hits hard but doesn't have much life. Try and whisper people like Vanciant, Yasu, Merciless, Xea, Nyasha, Mari, Noriand, OnlyYours, and a few others they will be nice tell them GM Darcel sent you with much love. They should help. If not tell them I am coming for them when I come back
