You can use fraps if you want or use the record feature iris allows. in the lower right hand corner there is a grid you can use that but add a little bit of time at the beginning and end so you can edit out your UI. And to remove the UI while recording press the V button

I have some people in the video I will be posting on the 23rd but if they wanted to post their own videos could they? and if they could, what happens if say they won and my video with them came 2nd or 3rd, would they still get a prize? or would the higher win override the others?

The deadline should not be extended at all, Whats even the point of having a 'deadline' if it's just gonna get extended?? The people who put the effort and time into making the videos should not have to suffer because of others laziness, It's not our fault they couldn't make a video in time =P

Yes I fully understand that at the end of the day this is your event and I know when you do an event you don't want others to tell you how you should do them, Who knows maybe more will join tomorrow but everyone involved in my video have been really looking forward to this event ending, I really don't think adding 2 more weeks to the event will do anything, but who knows maybe it will

are you serious? i care what the players think. and that statement is so irritating trying to make me feel bad and all. but i also know some people reediting their videos and doing the last minute touch ups the event is closing on monday. just to give the weekend for those in school right now and have the weekend free.

Darcel, what you say goes, and I understand why you're extending the event. You set a really good deadline for people to follow. It's more than enough time to make a great video. In this situation, I understand why you're extending the deadline. There's not enough videos that were submitted for it to be a competition.

I'm in Kinan's video and we worked our butts off to film the video and for Kinan to edit it. Our first edit was finished a couple days ago and she took time to edit and re-edit the video again. We're also in different time zones. Some of us from the US and Canada and Kinan from the UK. Sometimes, I would stay up late so I can help Kinan film the video when she wakes in the morning. I just joined a week ago and I spent some of this week just doing the video. In all honesty, I'm just frustrated at the new deadline. I just wanted to know who won! (:

Hopefully the other players will learn from this because you're being a really nice person and GM for extending the deadline. Thanks for holding this event, it's been a fun experience. (:

To me a deadline is a deadline, it just seems unfair to the rest of us who did get our videos up on time, if you don't have the time to join an event then don't join :dry:
There shouldn't be any exceptions, thats all I have to say about it since it wont change anything, people will still join late and be judge the same as the rest of us who did get our videos up on time, they should atleast get points deducted for being late but I don't know how you judge the videos,

We don't want our video hidden. We're proud of what we accomplished, and who cares if someone steals our idea. We would not have posted our video if we were not 100% sure that it was a video we believe could win. We're just expressing our concerns/opinions but we know that it's your event, your decisions, and your rules. We don't want our video judged poorly because I know our concerns and opinions are slightly bugging you.

Regarding your comment about the event closing on monday and the videos, both Kinan and I were confused about what you meant and Kinan was posting for clarification. I'm cool with the event having the extension, but ultimately (for me), I don't want to lose. I want everything to be fair.

Deep down, you're the boss. As I said before, I don't blame you for extending the deadline. I don't think it's fair, but I understand why you did it, and I'm definitely okay with it. It was an inevitable circumstance. We're just expressing our concerns, so don't take it too offensively. I just want to clear everything up. I'm a nice person and Kinan is a sweetheart. We don't want to start anything, we just want to clarify some things and to get a better understanding. Thanks for your time, and I'm sorry if you didn't like some of the things we said. Some suggestions I can offer you to avoid this happening again is better advertisement. I only found out about this event by scrolling on the forums. If this event was advertised more in game, the more people would join and an extension would have been avoided. You don't have to accept my suggestion, It's what I believe would help when and if this event happens again.Thanks again for your time.
