Ok so I've been thinking for a while and after having talked to some friends and guildmates I've decided to post my suggestion regarding PvP.

So we all know that the newest and most recent addition we have to the PvP arenas is the Battle of Atlantis, the aim is to score 50 point's by either destroying the enemy tower or by exterminating the opposing team. This brings the total number of PvP arenas to 3.

My suggestion is as follows;

Three teams, minimum requirement of 12 people per team so thats 36 players in total (3 raids of 12), that should make it interesting enough and give some pvp. Possibility of having it as guild vs guild or just random as it is now. Level requirement of lvl 85 only, this is to give those at the cap something else to do that is fun.

The creation of another arena but instead of having it every 20mins or something like that, have it on say a 4-8hr basis? so there are multiple chances throughout the day for people to participate and covers all time zones that way people don't miss out.

The aim is, Tower destruction (quite the theme in Iris lol) but within a time limit of say 1hr to allow for sufficient time to destroy/defend the tower(s), first tower down and the match is over. Non destruction of the towers results in a draw and nobody gains anything from a draw.

Make the arena ENORMOUS like a normal world map so that way strategic places can be created such as defensable positions, choke points, multiple routes to the target area etc. Hopefully, if the arena could be an actual world map it would have the same geographical nuances and thus should provide enough ways to get to a tower/defend a tower so it's not just straight up 'beat the tar out of a tower and win', there would be strategy to it and terrain that can be taken advantage of.

The towers spawn mobs that hurt, but not enough so that 1v1 they can rock a person, also their hp is quite low so whilst they provide a distraction they won't stop the team from laying DPS into the tower or overly hinder the objective at hand.

Instead of a usual DM/BoA killing players doesn't reward your team with a point(s) but you get CP instead (kinda like normal PK maps), may give people an incentive to actually PvP and means the CP is worth more than 'lololol i killed people doing quests'.

Rewards/Punishments - Now this is something I am shaky on as I don't know exactly what would be acceptable. First thing would be a winner buff but one that is actually significant and will have an impact on the character and what it can/cannot do throughout the time until the next team v team v team battle. The team that loses their tower gets a debuff of equal magnitude to the winners, the team that did not destroy or have their tower destroyed gets a minor debuff. Other, physical rewards, could be gold/tears/event foods but definitely not battlefield points there are already 3 arenas offering that as a reward.

Thoughts and suggestions/corrects are appreciated =)

I'm hoping that by making it look attractive enough to people that people WILL apply and actually participate. Currently there's no real reason to go to BFs once you get the accessories you need/are bored etc etc

This way people will actually participate because A) the rewards are nice and the buff actually means something and B) theres an actual element of strategy other than 'get 5 flags' or 'kill people till we get 50 points'.

YAY!! someone told it before of me *--*

i agree totally \õ/ i had thanked it before almost the same way of u, but on mine idea, the mobs that the tower spawned give abs buff to the tower (like the boss Wippa in Circus), and, we need to kill they all to then kill the tower (BTW, the towers has random places to spawn)... but u idea is too better >w< !! it can make the players join in BF ;3

(mines suggested world maps: Shebuz Snowfield, Sandfall desert, Abismal Shore )

Allowing the mobs to give the tower a buff may change the focus from tower killing to wiping mobs before continuing, because there is a time limit and of the type of battle arena this would/could be, it may slow things down but it's certainly worth a shot to see if it works =) perhaps once the tower is reduced to say, 20% hp?

Towers have to have a fixed spawn so that the map can be crafted to create those strategic points, they would need to spawn in the same place everytime.

Thanks for your thoughts, keep 'em coming!

I suggest a C-T-R "kinda" competition rather than this. Boxes with random power-ups, missiles, poison etc to hinder opponents movespeed.
    WHY?
    - Most of the players here nowadays likes fun and excitement rather than killing, or to be killed not to mention the equality of some hardcore player, not unlike for a racing match with random boxes powerups....hmmm, well....sound's like fun, "A RACING MATCH" :D

***we have W, A, S, D control keys, so it is more plausible rather than creating a whole new environment.

    haha. :D

I'm not sure if Sedy can write something like this and integrate it into the Iris game itself but only he knows if it's possible or not. Why don't you create a suggestion thread with your idea and expand upon it and see what the community/Sedy/Gala think about it?

Just ask him to make a channel 4 open in some time a day. Rewarded new point for some new items/food/etc that can only be used in that c4. and Yah something like WoE would be nice (war or emperium). C4 can be like having 4 5 big maps with different weather mobs castle/ mob defender etc and guarding those Emperium (those moon stone in ToA) =| if he just stop testing new game maybe he will have some spare time for that develope :P

For a channel to be opened/closed it requires an admin or a gm does it not? It could be tricky timing that so it doesn't interfere with their real lives which is why I suggested an automated system to port people to a pvp arena as the current system does.

We dont have just 1 GM or 1 admin rnt we? Sedy might be able to find out how to let it auto open and auto close from coding. Otherwise he can just leave open but the Event that gain Guild Token or w/e point etc they can be gained at some stable time like3 4 times a day so everyone can join etc. An automated port system would be more complicated then just an open separate space in 1 different channel with just a bunch of map already available and maybe just needed to be combined into a big map for GvG o.o Am i wrong?

    I don't recall stating our GM/Admin population.

I like the idea of a seperate map instead of an arena actually, having an event 'turn on' 3 or 4 times a day would be much easier to sort out, kinda like the event buffs on fridaysaturday/sunday. The rest of the time the map could be used to farm monsters which have a valuable loot table but it remains a pvp map.

I dont recall quoting u said anything about GM/Admin population at all so why focusing on it? The only problem here is when will Sedy start touching the suggestion LOL ... we can discuss all we want but the man said nothing mean we r just wasting time here.

Apologies Vulcan, I still have trouble understanding your pigeon English and completely didn't understand what you meant.

If you feel as though it's a waste of time posting you are invited not to do so, others however may not share the same opinion. Thank you for contributions though as you have given me some food for thought and hopefully others as well.
