Ive been wondering if Sedy were to make the voice server a teamspeak instead of mumble, would you be more likely to join? This is just a question that keeps popping up in my head. If he were to decide to set up a server i would be more than willing to setup the permission system for and I am very experienced at it. Its not really a game suggestion but it could change gameplay a little more. It would even be possible to set up private channels for Guilds and temporary channels that would allow 2 or more people to talk privately and close when both or all members have left the channel. Also as for guilds since they would be more permanent channels they would be able to add their Guild Emblems Provided they have the right size image (16x16) and type (png preffered for transparency). We could also add channels for Just random general talking, Questing, Dungeons, ETC. something i don't like about mumble is that if you mute someone Locally they will be able to talk to you again the next time you log onto the server, on teamspeak its permanent until you unblock them. Another favorite feature is you can easily ajust the volume of other players by a simple right click of their name. Much more things i can go on about but don't think i could type it all or remember all at once.
Would you join the Voice chat server if it were Teamspeak?

I haven't used Teamspeak in a long time but I remember I wasn't that impressed with the voice quality, but as I say, that was a long time ago so maybe it's improved now. We always used Ventrillo rather than TS. I was never that impressed with Mumble either to be honest, the quality is fine but the client and server config is kinda crappy.
I'm away for a few days but will take a look at setting up a test TS server when I get back. I'll be in touch to have you set it up :P

wow 7 people for a yes thats not bad considering only 1 other than me is one of our regulars on mumble. The quality can actually be changed in teamspeak as well they have a few different codecs and a slider to change how good the quality you want it to be.

Yep we too prefer Ventrilo.
As Sedy said TS never impressed us, I found the sound quality really bad when I used it in the past. Everyone sounded like they had this metallic quality in their voice, like they had robot vocal cords or something.
If it gets more people online and having chat fun we can surely try it of course.

its not as complicated as you think it is most of the stuff that you see is just extra options. Most of them which players will not have to even worry about.

Me and Sedy tested it, and I've been on a couple of times checking it.
Also, when Sedy was on, I was able to hear as well, since my desk is in the same room as his.
